In the US, 10.7% of all youth, ages 16-24, are disconnected, meaning they are neither working nor in school.
Washington DC ranks 2nd highest among all the states with 15.6% of all youth being disconnected​.

In the US, 16.7% of Black youth, ages 16-24, are disconnected.

Washington DC ranks #1 among all the states for Black youth disconnection at 30.5%.
